Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for hardware and software components.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs, defects, and performance issues.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks using industry-standard tools and languages.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, mechanical engineers, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and track them through to resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test reports and user guides.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and quality considerations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in QA and manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on manufacturing or complex electromechanical systems.
• Proven experience in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, TestComplete) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and test management tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
• Experience in a remote work environment is essential.
• Familiarity with hardware testing and validation processes in a manufacturing context is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
