- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for hardware and software components.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs, defects, and performance issues.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks using industry-standard tools and languages.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, mechanical engineers, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and track them through to resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis for identified issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test reports and user guides.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and quality considerations.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in QA and manufacturing technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on manufacturing or complex electromechanical systems.
- Proven experience in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, TestComplete) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and test management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
- Experience in a remote work environment is essential.
- Familiarity with hardware testing and validation processes in a manufacturing context is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
