Senior Architectural Designer

Our client, a renowned architectural firm known for its innovative and sustainable designs, is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Designer to join their vibrant team in Los Angeles, California, US . This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-profile projects, from conceptualization through to construction documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing creative design solutions, exceptional technical skills, and a deep understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and consultants, leading design efforts and ensuring the successful execution of projects. This role requires a blend of artistic vision, technical proficiency, and strong leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process from conceptualization to detailed construction documents for various architectural projects.
• Develop innovative and aesthetically compelling design solutions that meet client objectives and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Select appropriate building materials and systems, considering factors such as cost, durability, and sustainability.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, providing design presentations and incorporating feedback.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure design integrity and constructability.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Produce high-quality renderings, models, and presentations to communicate design concepts.
• Mentor and guide junior designers and architects.
• Conduct site visits and construction administration as required.
• Stay current with architectural trends, technologies, and sustainable design practices.
• Manage project timelines and contribute to budget adherence for design phases.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Professional license (RA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in architectural design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of design talent and project experience (commercial, residential, institutional).
• Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering software (e.g., 3ds Max, V-Ray).
• Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and construction methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles and materials.
• Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead design teams and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
