Remote Senior Architectural Designer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Architectural Designer to join their fully remote, award-winning design studio. You will be responsible for leading the design process for various building typologies, ensuring that projects meet client requirements, aesthetic standards, and regulatory compliance. Key duties include developing design concepts, creating detailed architectural drawings and models using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp), and preparing presentation materials for client reviews. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and other consultants (engineers, contractors) to translate visions into functional and aesthetically compelling spaces. This involves conducting site analyses, feasibility studies, and code research. You will also play a key role in coordinating construction documentation and ensuring that design intent is maintained throughout the construction administration phase. Mentoring junior designers and contributing to the firm's design standards and innovation initiatives will be expected. A strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and sustainable design principles is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution and be a licensed architect (RA) or on a clear path to licensure. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on design development and project leadership, is required. Proficiency in advanced architectural design software is mandatory. Exceptional design talent, creativity, and a keen eye for detail are crucial. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective client and team interaction in a remote setting. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with a high degree of autonomy is vital.
