Our client, an innovative and award-winning architectural firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join their fully remote design studio. This role is crucial for leading the design process on challenging and high-profile projects, from conceptualization through to detailed documentation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional creative vision, strong technical skills, and a deep understanding of contemporary architectural trends and sustainable design principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the conceptual design and development of architectural projects, translating client needs and project goals into innovative design solutions.
  • Prepare high-quality architectural drawings, renderings, models, and presentations for client reviews and approvals.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, engineers, and consultants to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and other relevant codes and requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate the development of construction documents, working with technical staff to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and specify building materials, systems, and finishes, with a focus on sustainability and performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest architectural software, design trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to firm-wide design initiatives and quality control efforts.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
  • Architectural license (RA) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of project types and scales.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.
  • Excellent conceptual design skills, visual communication abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
