Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Architectural Designer to join their forward-thinking firm. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge architectural projects from anywhere in the US. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design expertise and a deep understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction technologies. You will lead design teams, develop conceptual designs, and ensure the successful execution of projects from schematic design through construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design process for various architectural projects, from conceptualization to detailed construction documents.
  • Develop creative and innovative design solutions that meet client needs and project objectives.
  • Prepare design presentations, renderings, and models for client meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and construction teams to ensure design integrity and project success.
  • Oversee the production of detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior architectural staff.
  • Research and implement new design technologies and sustainable building practices.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets related to design development.
  • Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Professional license (RA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project leadership.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex architectural projects.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of building science, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent conceptual design, visualization, and graphic communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing design teams.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with sustainable design principles (e.g., LEED) is a plus.
