Bandh Darwaza is an Indian-inspired speakeasy cocktail bar celebrating ancient ingredients, Ayurvedic inspiration, and modern cocktail craft. Our menu explores Indian spices, botanicals, and fermentation techniques through thoughtfully designed cocktails and small plates.
Were looking for a creative and experienced Indian Chef who can lead the kitchen and develop a bold, shareable menu that pairs seamlessly with cocktails. This is not a traditional restaurant rolethink innovative, fast-paced, high-flavor, small-format dishes .
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute a small plates menu inspired by Indian cuisine
- Create dishes that pair well with craft cocktails and bar service flow
- Manage kitchen operations including prep, service, and inventory
- Maintain high standards for plating, consistency, and speed
- Train and mentor kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with bar team on pairings and seasonal menu updates
- 57+ years experience in Indian cuisine (modern or regional)
- Experience with small plates, tapas, or tasting menus preferred
- Strong understanding of flavor layering, spices, and presentation
- Ability to work in a high-volume bar environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation
- Leadership experience in a kitchen setting
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in USA.
