Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for new geothermal energy projects, including resource assessment and site evaluation.
  • Develop and refine sophisticated thermodynamic and fluid dynamic models to simulate geothermal reservoir performance and surface plant operations.
  • Analyze vast datasets from geological surveys, well logs, and production data to optimize reservoir management strategies.
  • Perform economic analyses, including cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and risk assessment, for geothermal projects.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and project managers to ensure project success.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geothermal technology, research, and market trends.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for enhancing geothermal energy extraction and utilization.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
  • Ensure all analyses and reports comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Geosciences, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on energy systems.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in geothermal energy analysis, reservoir engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in numerical modeling software (e.g., TOUGH2, EGS), data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB), and GIS.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and geostatistics.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough economic evaluations and financial modeling for energy projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience with power plant design and operation is a plus.
