Senior Environmental Services Manager (Remote Oversight)

Our client, a prominent healthcare system, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Environmental Services Manager. This fully remote position will focus on overseeing and optimizing the environmental services operations across multiple facilities, with a primary emphasis on the **Orlando, Florida, US** region. You will be responsible for developing and implementing best practices in cleaning, sanitation, waste management, and infection control, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of healthcare sanitation standards, and the ability to manage remote teams and diverse operational challenges. Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive environmental services policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of environmental services teams across multiple assigned facilities, remotely managing supervisors and staff.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., TJC), and infection control protocols.
• Conduct regular remote audits and assessments of cleaning quality, waste management, and overall facility hygiene.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, including labor, supplies, and equipment costs.
• Source, procure, and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other essential materials.
• Train and mentor environmental services supervisors and staff, providing ongoing professional development and performance feedback.
• Investigate and resolve any environmental services-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
• Implement innovative strategies and technologies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and effectiveness of environmental services operations.
• Collaborate with infection control practitioners, facility managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for cleaning equipment.
• Prepare reports on departmental performance, budget adherence, and compliance status for senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental services management, with a significant portion in a healthcare setting.
• Proven experience managing remote teams and operations across multiple locations.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare sanitation, infection control principles, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of cleaning technologies, equipment, and best practices.
