Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager - Remote

Our client, a leader in industrial services and sanitation, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join their fully remote leadership team. This critical role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and to foster a culture of safety across the organization's various operational sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EHS management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance within industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
• Investigate all accidents, injuries, and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
• Manage the company's risk management program, including insurance claims and workers' compensation.
• Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Stay abreast of changes in EHS legislation and industry best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant.
• Prepare and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with operational management to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations and strategic planning.
• Champion a strong safety culture throughout the organization, promoting employee engagement in EHS initiatives.
• Manage EHS budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Environmental Health & Safety management, with a significant portion in industrial or service-related industries.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
• Proficiency in EHS management software and reporting tools.
• Experience in the cleaning and sanitation industry is a significant advantage.
