Our client, a forward-thinking global organization, is seeking a visionary Director of Strategic Planning to join their executive leadership team on a fully remote basis. This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping the company's long-term vision, developing comprehensive strategic plans, and driving initiatives that foster sustainable growth and competitive advantage. You will work closely with C-suite executives, cross-functional leaders, and external partners to identify market opportunities, assess risks, and translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps. As a remote leader, you will leverage your analytical prowess, exceptional communication skills, and deep understanding of market dynamics to guide the organization's future direction from anywhere in the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the organization's overall strategic plan, aligning with business objectives and market trends.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend assessments to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define key strategic priorities, set measurable goals, and establish performance metrics.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Drive the execution of strategic plans by working closely with functional leaders across the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions, workshops, and retreats for the executive team and key stakeholders.
  • Communicate the company's strategic vision and plans effectively to internal and external audiences.
  • Identify and assess potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop frameworks for evaluating new business opportunities and market entry strategies.
  • Mentor and guide a team of strategic planning professionals.
  • Stay abreast of emerging business models, technologies, and global economic shifts.
Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, business development, or a related field, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of developing and successfully implementing complex strategic plans in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive change across an organization.
  • Proficiency in market research methodologies and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in leading remote teams and fostering a collaborative virtual work environment.
  • High level of business acumen and a global perspective.
