We are seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer with over 7 years of design experience using Revit and AutoCAD for building plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the building and construction industry, working on diverse projects such as healthcare, K-12, higher education, government, and mission-critical facilities. This role requires not only design skills but also the ability to work with distributors to order materials, ensuring the correct materials are used for each project. Candidates with healthcare or medical gas design experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
+ Design building plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
+ Work under project managers to complete design projects.
+ Collaborate on projects in healthcare, education, government, and mission-critical sectors.
+ Coordinate with distributors to procure the correct materials for projects.
+ Apply knowledge of materials specific to each project.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of design experience in building plumbing systems.
+ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
+ Familiarity with national, state, and local building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) certification is preferred.
+ Experience with medical gas design is a plus.
+ Experience in healthcare design is advantageous.
+ EIT status or pending PE licensure is recommended.
+ Water/Waste Water background is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
The position is based in a newly renovated office in Owings Mills, MD, with approximately 65 staff members. The work culture is highly collaborative, with a linear flat team structure. Employees work in-office from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:45 pm, and have the flexibility to work from home for a 6-hour day on Fridays. The firm values professional development, offering mentoring, in-house seminars, and financial support for participation in technical organizations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
