Remote Truck Driver - Dedicated Routes
Job Description
Our client is seeking experienced and dedicated Truck Drivers to join their expanding logistics network, operating entirely remotely. While the nature of trucking involves physical travel, this role is structured around managing logistics, route optimization, and ensuring seamless operations from a remote command center. You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe transportation of goods across designated regions, communicating with drivers, dispatchers, and clients to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to regulations. This unique position allows you to contribute your logistical expertise without the day-to-day demands of being physically behind the wheel for extended periods, focusing instead on the strategic planning and execution of transport.

- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using advanced logistics software to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
- Monitor the progress of multiple delivery vehicles in real-time, providing support and making adjustments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with a team of truck drivers, providing clear instructions, updates, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during their routes.
- Liaise with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to coordinate loading and unloading schedules, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all transportation activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including hours of service.
- Address and resolve any logistical challenges or delays that may occur during transit, such as traffic, weather, or vehicle issues.
- Utilize company communication systems and GPS tracking technology to stay connected and informed.
- Generate reports on delivery performance, route efficiency, and driver performance for management review.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring reliable and timely deliveries.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) or dedicated route driving experience.
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
- Strong understanding of logistics, route planning, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and punctuality.
- Familiarity with various types of commercial vehicles and trailer configurations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- A clean driving record and background check are mandatory.
