Senior Remote Project Management Consultant

Our client, a global leader in providing strategic consulting services, is seeking an experienced Senior Remote Project Management Consultant to join our fully remote team. This is a contract-based position requiring a highly organized and results-oriented professional to lead complex projects across diverse industries. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to navigate challenging project environments. As a remote-first consultant, you will collaborate with clients and internal teams using advanced collaboration tools, driving successful outcomes from your home office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of complex projects for clients across various sectors.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Manage project teams, providing direction, motivation, and performance oversight.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate project meetings, including status updates, risk reviews, and decision-making sessions.
• Track project progress against milestones and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations as required.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Utilize project management software and collaboration tools effectively.
• Client relationship management and expectation setting.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP or similar certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion in a consulting capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Expertise in multiple project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive-level clients.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Experience in change management is a plus.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional results.
• Understanding of different industry verticals is beneficial.
