Remote Lead Procurement Analyst

Our client is seeking a seasoned and analytical Lead Procurement Analyst to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role is crucial for optimizing the company's global supply chain and procurement operations, driving cost savings, and ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in data analysis, market intelligence, and strategic sourcing to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness from anywhere in the US.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and strategic sourcing initiatives across various spend categories.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand supplier landscapes, pricing dynamics, and potential risks.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, finance, and operations, to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Manage and optimize procurement data within the company's ERP and procurement software systems.
- Develop and refine sourcing strategies, including RFx development, negotiation support, and contract analysis.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, fostering a collaborative approach to procurement.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in procurement and supply chain management.
- Mentor and guide junior procurement analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Support the negotiation of favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain analysis, with a strong emphasis on data analytics.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive significant cost savings and efficiency gains.
- Proficiency in procurement software suites (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement) and advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent understanding of sourcing methodologies, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and communication skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) are advantageous.
