Senior HR Generalist - Remote First

You will be instrumental in managing a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition support, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of HR best practices, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a positive and productive work environment, even in a distributed setting. You will act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Partner with talent acquisition to support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding processes.
  • Administer and advise on compensation, benefits, and performance management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support organizational design and change management initiatives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong background as an HR Generalist.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR software.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in a remote or distributed work environment is highly desirable.
