Our client is a pioneering force in the decentralized technology space and is looking for an exceptional Blockchain Architect & Lead Developer to spearhead innovation from **Durham, North Carolina, US** (remote-first). This is a fully remote role where you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge blockchain solutions and decentralized applications (dApps). You will architect robust, scalable, and secure blockchain platforms, driving the technical vision and strategy for our future endeavors.

Your responsibilities will encompass leading the full lifecycle development of smart contracts, conducting in-depth research into emerging blockchain technologies, and evaluating their potential application. You will mentor and guide a team of talented developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance remote work environment. A key aspect of this role involves defining blockchain architecture, including consensus mechanisms, network protocols, and data structures, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will also be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages like Solidity, Go, Rust, or similar, and implementing robust testing frameworks to ensure the integrity of our decentralized systems.

Collaboration with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications will be essential. You will stay abreast of the latest industry trends, security vulnerabilities, and best practices in the blockchain and crypto space. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptography, distributed ledger technologies, and various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana). Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is highly desirable. This remote position demands exceptional problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a significant portion focused on blockchain technology.
  • Proven experience as a Blockchain Architect or Lead Developer, with a portfolio of deployed dApps or smart contracts.
  • Proficiency in smart contract development (e.g., Solidity) and blockchain platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, distributed systems, and consensus algorithms.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.
