Our client, a rapidly expanding telecommunications firm, is looking for an innovative Lead Network Architect to spearhead the design, implementation, and management of their next-generation network infrastructure. This is a crucial, fully remote position that demands extensive experience in complex network environments. You will be responsible for defining the architectural roadmap, ensuring network scalability, security, and reliability across all services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and deploying high-performance networks, including WAN, LAN, data center, and cloud connectivity.   • Developing and maintaining the overall network architecture strategy and roadmaps.

  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate networking technologies and vendors.
  • Overseeing the implementation and deployment of new network services and upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues and providing expert-level support.
  • Defining network security policies and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., systems, security, applications) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Managing network capacity planning and performance monitoring.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior network engineers.
  • Staying current with emerging network technologies and trends.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in network design and architecture. Significant expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is essential. Industry certifications such as CCIE or equivalent are highly desirable. This is a 100% remote role, allowing you to work from anywhere within the US.
