Remote Senior Process Engineer - Manufacturing Automation

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement advanced automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Specify, select, and integrate robotics, PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Develop process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and functional design specifications.
• Lead and manage automation projects from concept through commissioning and validation.
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of automated systems.
• Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for automated equipment and processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems.
• Train production and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated equipment.
• Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards in all automation projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing automation.
• Extensive experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
• Proven experience with industrial robotics (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) integration and programming.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated project management experience in leading complex automation initiatives.
• Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
• Experience with vision systems and advanced sensor technology is a plus.
