Senior Remote HR Operations Manager

Our client, a fast-paced and innovative tech company, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Remote HR Operations Manager to lead their human resources operational functions. This is a critical, fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all HR operational processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional employee experience. This includes managing HRIS systems, payroll administration, benefits management, policy development, and employee relations in a distributed workforce environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to manage complex HR operations remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.
  • Manage and maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including data integrity, system upgrades, and reporting.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits, ensuring compliance and competitive offerings.
  • Manage the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all employee compensation and related tax filings.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all employees.
  • Manage compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within HR operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends, turnover, and other key metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in HR operations, with a strong focus on HRIS management, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Proven experience managing HR operations in a remote or distributed environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with various HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
