Our client, a highly respected engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team. This position is pivotal in designing and overseeing the structural integrity of a wide range of construction projects, from commercial buildings to complex infrastructure. Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, stability, and code compliance.

  • Stay updated with the latest building codes, standards, and advancements in structural engineering technology.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets for structural engineering aspects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the engineering department.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes (e.g., IBC, ASCE) and relevant standards.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
  • Experience with seismic design and analysis is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned structural engineer to contribute to significant projects while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work environment, supporting projects for our client in and around the Chicago, Illinois, US area and nationally.
