Job Description
Baptist Urgent Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering immediate, high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients seeking urgent care for non-life-threatening conditions. Working closely with our providers, nursing staff, and front-line clinical team, you will perform diagnostic radiographic examinations, support accurate and timely diagnoses, and ensure every patient receives safe, respectful, and efficient care.
As a Radiology Technician at Baptist Urgent Care, you will greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain exams in a clear and reassuring manner, and position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing discomfort and exposure. You will operate and maintain digital X-ray equipment, adhere strictly to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles, and verify patient identity, orders, and exam protocols prior to each procedure. You will upload and manage images in PACS, ensure that studies are properly labeled and routed to providers, and collaborate closely with clinicians to support rapid clinical decision-making in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
This position also supports the broader clinical workflow of the center. You may assist with basic patient triage within scope, monitor vital signs when needed, help with room turnover and infection control practices, and contribute to maintaining an organized, safe, and compliant clinical environment. Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, adherence to HIPAA and all regulatory standards, and participation in quality improvement and safety initiatives are essential aspects of the role.
