Job Description

Mercy, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an OKC professional to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will support high-quality patient care across multiple specialties, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to innovative care solutions that enhance community health. You’ll engage in direct or supportive clinical services, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold regulatory and safety standards. Provide safe, evidence-based direct patient care across multiple medical specialties at the OKC facility.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Document all care activities accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record system.
Coordinate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist with medication administration and reconciliation in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients, equipment, and necessary documentation.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge self-care.
Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards, participating in audits and improvement initiatives.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure safe, smooth transitions of care.
Participate in emergency responses and implement appropriate clinical interventions within scope of practice.
Engage in continuous professional development, in-service training, and specialty education opportunities offered by Mercy.

Patient assessment and triage
Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation
Vital signs monitoring and interpretation
Care coordination and discharge planning
Clinical protocols and infection control
Medication administration support and reconciliation assistance
Interdisciplinary team collaboration
Basic diagnostic support (labs, imaging coordination)
Patient and family education
HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Time management in high-acuity settings
Basic life support and emergency response coordination
