Job Description
Mastercard seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer in our Information Technology & Digital Solutions team within the Payments Solutions & Processing industry. You will design and operate secure, highly available, low-latency platforms that power global payment services. Responsibilities include leading SRE practices, driving observability, automation, incident response, capacity planning, and performance tuning for mission-critical systems. Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable payment platforms in the cloud.
Lead SRE practices including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and reliability reviews.
Implement and improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting for critical services.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational runbooks.
Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to influence architecture for reliability.
Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization of production systems.
Mentor SRE and software engineers, promoting SRE best practices and standards.
Enhance security, compliance, and resilience across payment processing systems.
Continuously improve deployment, recovery, and change management processes.
