As a senior member of the engineering team, you will lead complex process improvement initiatives, support new product launches, optimize manufacturing systems, and champion Lean Manufacturing strategies that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex manufacturing process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction
- Develop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes, workflows, tooling
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for manufacturing/assembly operations and process engineering activities
- Troubleshoot critical production and process quality issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction and process stability
- Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product launches, including process development, PFMEA support, tooling, equipment implementation, and process validation
- Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, and improvement opportunities
- Support capital equipment projects from concept development and justification through implementation and industrialization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Program Management teams to resolve operational challenges
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, standard work, and process flow diagrams
- Mentor and support other engineers and technical team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Identify and implement innovative solutions that improve manufacturing performance and scalability
- Support customer requirements and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve quality, and enhance overall operational performance
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the organization

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Equivalent STEM based Degree
- 8-12+ years of Process/Manufacturing Engineering experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment; automotive industry experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading complex process improvement and manufacturing optimization initiatives
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience supporting new product launches, process validation, and capital equipment procurement and industrialization
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, materials, automation, and production workflows
- Experience analyzing manufacturing data and driving data-based decision-making
- Strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Direct and/or indirect people management experience including performance management, strategic objective setting, growth & development planning, and mentorship
- Experience within automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing environments
- Six Sigma certification or Lean Manufacturing certification
- Experience with APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Exposure to automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies
