Job Description
Orica is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class B Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver explosives and related products to mining, quarrying, construction, and energy customers. Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre/post-trip inspections, compliant loading and unloading, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. You will work closely with dispatch and field teams, supporting innovative and impactful projects with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and sustainability. Safely operate CDL Class B vehicles to transport explosives and related materials to customer and job sites.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
Load and unload products following strict safety, handling, and documentation procedures.
Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies, including hours-of-service and hazardous materials regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and required transportation documents.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, site personnel, and customers to coordinate deliveries.
Support blasting operations and ground support services as required at customer locations.
Report vehicle issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
Participate in ongoing safety training, skills development, and compliance programs.
Represent Orica professionally, supporting a culture of safety, teamwork, and sustainability.
