Maintenance Manager

As Maintenance Manager at Drax in our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team, you’ll lead the maintenance strategy for critical energy assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You’ll manage a multidisciplinary team, optimize preventive and predictive maintenance, and oversee budgets, contractors, and asset lifecycle plans. Partnering closely with Engineering and Operations, you’ll drive reliability improvements and support sustainable, low‑carbon initiatives. Lead maintenance strategy for critical energy and utilities assets across the site
Manage a multidisciplinary maintenance team ensuring safe, efficient operations
Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Oversee asset reliability, lifecycle planning, and capital maintenance projects
Control maintenance budgets, contracts, and spare parts inventory
Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory, and company standards
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve plant performance and uptime
Use data and CMMS/EAM tools to drive continuous improvement and reporting
Support sustainable, low-carbon initiatives in maintenance planning
Coach and develop team capabilities aligned with Drax culture and values

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar is an advantage
