Job Description
As a Maintenance Manager at Drax in Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management, you will lead maintenance strategy for critical energy & utilities assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You’ll manage a multidisciplinary team, oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, and coordinate outages and projects with Engineering and Operations. Using data-driven insights, you’ll optimize asset performance, control budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting Drax’s zero-carbon, sustainability-focused mission in an inclusive, empowering culture.
Lead maintenance strategy for critical energy & utilities assets to maximize safety, reliability, and efficiency
Manage a multidisciplinary maintenance team, providing coaching, scheduling, and performance management
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS/EAM tools
Coordinate maintenance projects and outages with Engineering, Operations, and Asset Management
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations and Drax standards
Analyse asset performance data to drive reliability improvements and cost optimization
Manage maintenance budgets, contracts, and external service providers
Support sustainability goals by improving plant efficiency and reducing unplanned downtime
