Job Description
The H&K Group seeks a skilled Loader Operator to support our construction operations within the Skilled Labor department. Operating wheel loaders, you will safely load trucks, move aggregates, and support asphalt, concrete, and earthwork projects. Responsibilities include conducting pre‑trip inspections, maintaining equipment, following site plans, and coordinating with plant and field crews. Operate wheel loaders to load trucks and move aggregates and construction materials
Perform daily pre-start inspections and basic preventive maintenance on equipment
Follow all site, MSHA/OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
Communicate with plant operators, truck drivers, and field crews to meet production goals
Maintain stockpiles, work areas, and haul roads in a safe, organized condition
Read and follow basic site plans, load sheets, and production instructions
Monitor material quality and report contamination or equipment issues promptly
Assist with general labor tasks as needed to support construction operations
Document equipment hours, inspections, and maintenance needs accurately
Work in varying weather and site conditions while meeting schedule and productivity expectations
Wheel loader operation

Aggregate handling and stockpile management
OSHA/MSHA safety compliance
Radio and on-site communication
Reading basic site plans and load sheets
Lockout/tagout and hazard recognition
Material quality inspection

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction (preferred)
Heavy equipment operator certification or employer verification of competency (preferred)
