Job Description
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a skilled Rad Tech to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will operate radiologic equipment, position patients safely and accurately, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to support timely diagnoses. You will follow strict radiation safety and infection control protocols while maintaining detailed imaging records and documentation. Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to physician orders and protocols
Position and prepare patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety
Operate and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality images
Apply radiation safety principles and follow all regulatory and infection control standards
Verify patient identity and maintain accurate imaging records and documentation in the EMR/PACS systems
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support timely patient diagnosis and care planning
Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and ready state
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain certifications and expand skills
Diagnostic radiography (X-ray)
Patient positioning and immobilization
Operation of radiologic imaging equipment
PACS and EMR documentation
Radiation safety and ALARA principles
Infection control and PPE use
Anatomy and radiographic pathology recognition
Basic life support (BLS)

ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification (or eligible)
Current state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
