Job Description
Methodist Health System seeks a CT Tech to perform high-quality CT imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating CT equipment, optimizing imaging protocols, and ensuring radiation safety. The CT Tech collaborates with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support accurate diagnosis and compassionate care. Prepare and position patients for CT procedures following physician orders
Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Verify patient identity, history, and screening for contraindications to contrast
Administer or assist with contrast media per protocol and monitor patient response
Apply radiation safety principles for patients, staff, and self
Review images for quality and completeness; repeat studies as necessary
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers for timely exams and results
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS systems
Perform daily equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and coordinate service as needed
Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
CT imaging protocols and anatomy recognition
Operation of CT scanners and related imaging equipment
Radiation safety and dose optimization
Venipuncture and IV contrast administration
Patient positioning and immobilization techniques
PACS and RIS/EMR documentation
Basic life support and patient monitoring
Infection control and hospital safety procedures
Critical thinking and triage in acute settings
Communication with multidisciplinary clinical teams

Current state radiologic technologist license (as applicable)
BLS certification
ACLS preferred
