Job Description
Methodist Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this on-site role, you will perform high-quality CT imaging exams, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Perform high-quality CT scans according to physician orders and imaging protocols
Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety
Position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Apply radiation safety principles and follow all regulatory and infection-control standards
Collaborate with radiologists to clarify protocols and review image quality
Document exams accurately in EMR and imaging systems (PACS/RIS)
Monitor patients during and after procedures, reporting changes to clinical staff
Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, reporting issues promptly
Assist with contrast administration per policy and monitor for adverse reactions
Support a culture of compassion, integrity, and accountability in patient care
CT imaging procedures
Patient positioning and immobilization
Radiation safety and protection
Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
Use of CT scanners and imaging equipment
PACS/RIS and EMR documentation
IV contrast preparation and administration support
Infection prevention and control
Basic life support (BLS)
Communication with patients and clinical teams

ARRT (CT) post-primary certification (or obtained within 12 months)
Current state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
BLS/CPR certification
ACLS preferred
