Job Description
Methodist Health System seeks a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. You will prepare and position patients, operate CT scanners, follow radiation safety protocols, and assist radiologists with accurate image acquisition. The CT Technologist collaborates with nurses and physicians to support timely diagnosis and compassionate care, reflecting our culture of integrity, accountability, and inclusion. This full-time, on-site role includes rotating shifts, participation in call, and opportunities for professional growth.
Perform CT exams according to physician orders and department protocols
Prepare, position, and monitor patients to ensure comfort and safety
Operate CT scanners and related imaging/contrast equipment
Adhere to ALARA and all radiation safety and infection-control standards
Verify patient identification and obtain relevant clinical history
Start and monitor IV contrast injections, observing for adverse reactions
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat as clinically necessary
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to coordinate patient care
Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record and PACS
Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation as scheduled
CT imaging protocols
Radiation safety and ALARA principles
Patient positioning and immobilization
IV insertion and contrast administration
Operation of CT scanners and injectors
PACS and RIS/EMR documentation
Cross-sectional anatomy and pathology recognition
Infection prevention and control practices
Emergency response for contrast reactions
Basic life support (BLS)

ARRT (CT) post-primary certification (or obtained within 1 year)
Active state Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable)
