The Role
The Quality Technician supports the quality needs of the Holland operations while carrying out both local and corporate responsibilities. This role partners closely with the Quality Manager to advance business objectives and collaborates with the broader Holland team to ensure all quality-related requirements are met.
Core Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
\nLive our culture and exemplify our Growth Enabling Behaviors to be highly enabled to deliver, highly empowered to succeed and highly accountable to lead.\nPerform Incoming and Final Inspections as necessary\nAddress internal requests to initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) in a timely manner and keep the total number of open NCRs below target.\nSupport the Shop Floor with any Quality related requests.\nLead root cause analysis and drive the implementation of mistake proofing to eliminate and preventative actions\nComplete a "5-Why" for any "Repeat" or "Escape" non-conformance.\nFile and maintain Quality documentation as units are produced.\nProvide maintained Quality documentation upon request.\nAnalyze existing operations and propose cost justified improvements.\nCreate Certificates of Conformance when needed.\nMake requested changes to ISO documentation.\nSupport ISO 9001 audit preparation and other various audit preparations.\nImplement any relevant Quality checks and measures.\nMark and tag defective hardware as necessary.\nCreate customer Quality documentation binders when required.\n\n
Qualifications
\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nBS Degree in Quality or Engineering preferred\n3+ years of manufacturing experience in quality assurance or similar role\nAbility to read and comprehend blueprints with GD&T\nISO 9001 or equivalent experience preferred\nCertifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred\nQuality inspection and auditing experience preferred\nAbility to create/revise Quality documentation to ISO 9001 standards preferred\nSelf-motivated personality required\nAbility to problem solve, develop, and effectively communicate solutions\n\n

Physical Requirements
\nMust be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.\nMust be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.\nMust be able to climb and descend stairs.\nMust be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.\nMust be able to communicate verbally and in writing.\nMay work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.\nMay work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.\nMay be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.\nWork surfaces may include concrete.\nEmployee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.\nSome travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.\n\n
The estimated pay range for this position is $28/hr. to $32/hr.. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
