Job Title: DTS Production Control Coordinator

Department: Production

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Position Overview:

The DTS Production Control Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the efficient flow of materials, components, and work orders throughout the cylinder manufacturing process. This position is responsible for reviewing, distributing, and tracking production job packets; maintaining production schedules; and ensuring that manufacturing departments have the materials and information necessary to meet delivery goals.


The coordinator monitors job priorities, manages internal order processing, maintains accurate inventory levels, and helps sustain a consistent 5–7-day lead time for production. This role requires a balance of organizational, technical, and communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments and ensure timely completion of work orders.


Essential Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as required.)

  • Review and distribute DTS job packets from the job tray to the appropriate departments for processing.
  • Ensure DTS orders are separated and delivered to the correct locations within 24 hours of their release to manufacturing.
  • Maintain a production pace that supports a consistent 5–7-day lead time while accommodating expedited orders as needed.
  • Review routers and job details provided by Sales and Engineering to determine order priorities and pull necessary materials accordingly.
  • Review cylinder orders to verify they meet DTS cylinder specifications and do not require custom engineering or manufacturing modifications.
  • Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, production drawings, and work instructions for DTS orders using established templates and standards.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Management and maintain accurate material tracking within the M2M system to ensure proper allocation and accountability for all materials used in DTS orders
  • Coordinate production flow by ensuring all departments receive required components and kitted trays in the correct sequence and on schedule.
  • Assist in transferring completed components to designated job pans or staging areas as requested as needed.
  • Move materials and products efficiently between operations to maintain workflow continuity as needed.

Language Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.


Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Knowledge of blueprints preferred

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to wear safety glasses and hard sole/close toed shoes with a low heel when walking through the manufacturing shop and/or repair shop whether as part of performing their job or just passing through. In addition, long hair must be tied back when around hazards of flame, machinery, or equipment.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
