Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Cath Lab Technologist to support interventional cardiology procedures for our healthcare partners. In this role, you’ll assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and ensure exam rooms and supplies are prepared and maintained. You’ll monitor and document patient status, follow radiation safety and infection control standards, and collaborate closely with nurses and cardiologists. Assist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
Operate and troubleshoot imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Prepare patients and procedure rooms, including sterile field setup and supplies
Monitor, document, and report patient status before, during, and after procedures
Administer contrast agents and medications under appropriate supervision and protocols
Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and hospital regulatory standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in on-call rotation, emergencies, and after-hours procedures as needed
Maintain accurate procedure documentation and equipment quality checks
Support continuous quality improvement and staff education initiatives
Cardiac catheterization procedures
Fluoroscopy and imaging equipment operation
Hemodynamic monitoring and waveform interpretation
Sterile technique and scrub/circulate skills
Radiation safety and dosage management
EKG interpretation
Vascular access and closure device familiarity
Contrast administration and medication handling
Clinical documentation and PACS/EMR usage
Infection control and patient safety protocols

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Cardiac Interventional preferred
Current state radiologic technologist or CV tech license, as applicable
BLS and ACLS certification required
Previous cath lab or interventional cardiology experience
