Job Description

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Psychologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within the Healthcare & Medical industry. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapy to a diverse patient population, working closely with physicians and allied health professionals to provide integrated, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include developing and updating treatment plans, conducting risk and crisis assessments, documenting in electronic health records, and participating in interdisciplinary case conferences. You will contribute to quality-improvement initiatives and support a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continual learning. The ideal candidate holds a doctorate in psychology, is licensed (or license-eligible) as a Psychologist, demonstrates strong skills in CBT and other empirically supported treatments, and has experience in fast-paced medical or outpatient settings. Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy to a diverse adult and adolescent patient population.
Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans aligned with Kaiser Permanente care standards.
Collaborate closely with primary care and specialty providers to deliver integrated, whole-person behavioral healthcare.
Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis interventions, following all legal and ethical guidelines.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records and track patient outcomes.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality-improvement initiatives within Healthcare & Medical Services.
Offer psychoeducation, brief interventions, and group sessions to support patient wellness and resilience.
Uphold HIPAA standards, ethical codes, and regulatory requirements for psychological practice.
Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continual improvement aligned with Kaiser Permanente values.
