Job Description
Kaiser Permanente seeks a Psychologist within Healthcare & Medical Services to provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for diverse patient populations. In this role, you will conduct individual and group therapy, administer and interpret psychological tests, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop integrated care plans. You will maintain accurate electronic health records, contribute to case conferences, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. This position emphasizes ethical practice, cultural competence, and continuous professional development in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment to patients.
Conduct individual, group, and family psychotherapy as clinically indicated.
Administer, score, and interpret psychological and neurocognitive tests.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians on integrated treatment plans.
Document all clinical encounters in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
Participate in case conferences, care team meetings, and interdisciplinary rounds.
Develop crisis intervention and safety plans for high‑risk patients.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Contribute to quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, and clinical best practices.
Maintain professional licensure, continuing education, and adherence to ethical standards.
Clinical assessment and diagnosis (DSM-5-TR/ICD-10)
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
Evidence-based psychotherapies (e.g., ACT, DBT, MI)
Psychological and neuropsychological test administration
Treatment planning and case formulation
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Risk assessment and crisis intervention
Integrated primary care/consult-liaison skills
Behavioral medicine and health psychology

Current, unrestricted Psychologist license in the relevant state.
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program.
Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited internship.
Two-year postdoctoral supervised clinical experience preferred.
Certification in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT) desirable.
BLS/CPR certification as required by healthcare setting.
Eligibility for credentialing and privileging within Kaiser Permanente.
Training in integrated primary care or health psychology preferred.
