Our client, a leader in aviation support services, is seeking a highly skilled and certified Remote Aircraft Maintenance Technician specializing in Avionics. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise to critical projects without the need for relocation. You will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex avionics systems on a variety of aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and operational safety from your home office. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of aviation regulations, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of avionic systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
  • Interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical publications.
  • Coordinate with on-site maintenance crews for the execution of repairs and component replacements.
  • Develop and implement standardized procedures for avionics maintenance and repair.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company policies.
  • Document all maintenance actions, inspections, and repairs accurately in the aircraft maintenance logbook and company systems.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of avionic components and necessary tools.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of new avionics technologies and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to flight crews and maintenance personnel remotely.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic systems.
  • Contribute to safety initiatives and participate in quality assurance programs.
  • Stay current with advancements in avionics technology and maintenance practices.

Qualifications:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a strong specialization in avionics systems.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of avionics equipment on commercial or corporate aircraft.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., FAR Part 121, Part 135).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical information and communicate effectively with remote teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and test equipment specific to avionics.
  • A dedicated home office setup with reliable internet connectivity.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for critical on-site support if required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Technology, Electronics, or a related field is a plus.
