Remote Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician

This role is designed for highly experienced and certified technicians who can provide remote technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support for a global fleet of advanced aircraft. Responsibilities:

• Provide expert remote technical assistance and guidance to on-site maintenance teams worldwide.
• Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems and component issues, guiding technicians through diagnostic and repair procedures.
• Review and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, technical orders, and engineering drawings to provide accurate solutions.
• Develop and refine maintenance procedures and best practices for various aircraft types.
• Analyze maintenance data and reports to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for proactive intervention.
• Collaborate virtually with engineering, quality assurance, and flight operations departments to resolve technical challenges.
• Conduct remote quality audits and ensure compliance with FAA and international aviation regulations.
• Develop and deliver remote training modules for maintenance personnel on new systems and procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of remote support activities, findings, and resolutions.
• Act as a primary technical point of contact for assigned aircraft programs or fleets.

Qualifications:

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aircraft maintenance, with a significant portion focused on complex systems.
• Proven expertise on specific aircraft platforms relevant to our client's fleet (e.g., commercial jets, military aircraft, specialized drones).
• Extensive experience with diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Deep understanding of FARs (Federal Aviation Regulations) and aviation safety standards.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical and systematic approach.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively guide and instruct remotely.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with virtual collaboration tools and digital documentation systems.
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role is highly desirable.
