The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least 3-5 years of experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in property and casualty or life insurance. Professional designations such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) are a significant advantage. You must possess excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical aptitude, and proficiency in using underwriting software and databases. The ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make sound judgments under pressure is essential. You will also be expected to stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations.
