Our client, an award-winning architectural firm known for its innovative and sustainable designs, is seeking a talented Senior Architect to lead projects focused on environmentally conscious building solutions. This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing designs that minimize environmental impact and enhance building performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing sustainable design expertise, a deep understanding of green building certifications (e.g., LEED), and proficiency in advanced architectural design software.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architectural design process for sustainable building projects from concept through construction documentation.
  • Develop innovative and aesthetically compelling design solutions that prioritize energy efficiency, material sustainability, and occupant well-being.
  • Incorporate principles of passive design, renewable energy integration, and water conservation into project designs.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and consultants to achieve project goals and sustainability targets.
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and specifications using advanced design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in sustainable architecture, green building materials, and environmental technologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior architectural staff, fostering a collaborative and creative design environment.
  • Conduct design reviews and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and review boards.
  • Contribute to the firm's sustainability initiatives and thought leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Architect (RA or equivalent) in at least one US state.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable and green building projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in LEED accreditation (e.g., LEED AP) and other green building rating systems.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, is essential.
  • Strong skills in 3D modeling and visualization software.
  • Excellent understanding of building science, energy modeling, and sustainable materials.
  • Proven project management experience, including managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Strong conceptual design skills and a creative problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire design teams in a remote setting.
