This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing designs that minimize environmental impact and enhance building performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing sustainable design expertise, a deep understanding of green building certifications (e.g., LEED), and proficiency in advanced architectural design software.

- Lead the architectural design process for sustainable building projects from concept through construction documentation.
- Develop innovative and aesthetically compelling design solutions that prioritize energy efficiency, material sustainability, and occupant well-being.
- Incorporate principles of passive design, renewable energy integration, and water conservation into project designs.
- Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and consultants to achieve project goals and sustainability targets.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and specifications using advanced design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations effectively.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
- Stay current with emerging trends in sustainable architecture, green building materials, and environmental technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior architectural staff, fostering a collaborative and creative design environment.
- Conduct design reviews and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and review boards.
- Contribute to the firm's sustainability initiatives and thought leadership.
Qualifications:
- Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect (RA or equivalent) in at least one US state.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable and green building projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in LEED accreditation (e.g., LEED AP) and other green building rating systems.
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, is essential.
- Strong skills in 3D modeling and visualization software.
- Excellent understanding of building science, energy modeling, and sustainable materials.
- Proven project management experience, including managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Strong conceptual design skills and a creative problem-solving approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire design teams in a remote setting.
