This critical role will focus on the design and analysis of complex structural systems for a variety of infrastructure projects, including bridges, buildings, and transportation facilities. As a remote-first Lead Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that all designs meet stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the structural design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
  • Develop conceptual designs, detailed engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Perform complex structural calculations and simulations using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure designs comply with all applicable building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough design reviews and provide constructive feedback to engineering teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior civil engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and documentation.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for structural engineering tasks.
  • Stay current with advancements in structural engineering principles, software, and materials.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
  • Extensive experience with structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Revit Structure).
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex engineering projects remotely.
  • Strong understanding of building codes (e.g., IBC, AASHTO) and industry standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
