Senior Program Manager, Product Development (Remote)

Our client, a leading global technology firm at the forefront of innovative software solutions, is seeking an accomplished Senior Program Manager, Product Development to lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic visionary with a proven ability to drive product roadmaps from conception through launch and iteration. You will be responsible for defining program scope, managing timelines, coordinating resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact software products. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, plan, and manage the execution of multiple concurrent product development programs from initiation to completion.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, design, QA, and marketing to achieve program objectives.
• Develop detailed program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Facilitate program governance, including regular status meetings, stakeholder updates, and executive reviews.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage program risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure alignment between program goals and overall business strategy and product vision.
• Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and drive continuous process improvement within development teams.
• Manage communication and collaboration across distributed teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of program documentation, including requirements, roadmaps, and status reports.
• Conduct post-program reviews to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for future enhancement.
• Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for new product initiatives.
• Manage program budgets and track expenditures against plan.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in program or project management, with a significant focus on software product development.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale software products.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum Master certification preferred).
• Exceptional leadership, team building, and motivational skills.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, MS Project).
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team setting is essential.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
