Remote Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States. You will be responsible for architecting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) that meet high availability, performance, and security standards. Key responsibilities include automating infrastructure deployment and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Docker; monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence; and collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications. You will also play a crucial role in capacity planning, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking principles, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and containerization technologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, scripting languages (Python, Bash), and infrastructure-as-code is essential. You should be adept at working independently, managing your time effectively, and communicating clearly with remote team members across different time zones. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Several years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering and a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges in a distributed environment are necessary.
