Remote Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions for their cloud infrastructure, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and systems. You will take the lead in developing and enforcing cloud security policies, standards, and procedures across various cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Responsibilities include conducting regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks. You will also be responsible for configuring and managing security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, and identity and access management (IAM) systems. This position requires proactive threat hunting, incident response, and forensic analysis to effectively address security breaches. You will work closely with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure secure application development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and common security vulnerabilities. You should be adept at developing and automating security controls and compliance checks. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is also a significant advantage.
