Job Description
Our client is seeking an exceptionally talented and creative Lead Sound Designer to join their renowned entertainment production team in Las Vegas, Nevada, US . This pivotal role will involve conceptualizing, creating, and implementing all audio elements for high-profile live shows, themed attractions, and immersive experiences. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of audio engineering, sound design principles, and a passion for crafting unforgettable auditory landscapes.

- Oversee the entire sound design process from initial concept development through final implementation and playback.
- Create and edit a wide range of audio assets, including sound effects, Foley, music composition, and voiceovers.
- Develop and maintain detailed audio documentation, cue sheets, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with directors, creative teams, technical staff, and performers to achieve the desired auditory vision.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior sound designers and audio technicians.
- Operate and maintain complex audio systems, including mixing consoles, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and sound reinforcement equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues during rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and live performances.
- Source, license, and manage audio libraries and assets.
- Stay current with the latest audio technology, techniques, and industry trends.
- Contribute to the overall creative direction and innovation of the entertainment offerings.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in professional sound design, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proven portfolio showcasing exceptional sound design work for live entertainment, theme parks, or similar immersive environments.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Cubase.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, audio mixing, and live sound reinforcement.
- Experience with audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) is a significant advantage.
- Ability to compose original music or effectively direct composers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing creative requirements.
- A degree in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field is preferred.
