Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using advanced BIM software (Revit, ArchiCAD).
  • Oversee the technical aspects of design projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate various building systems and ensure constructability.
  • Perform site visits (as required and feasible remotely or with local resources) to monitor construction progress and address technical issues.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews of designs and construction documents.
  • Manage and mentor a team of architectural technologists, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Research and evaluate new building materials, technologies, and construction methods.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and project teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's technical standards and workflows.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural technology and construction documentation.
  • Expert proficiency in Revit and other BIM software; experience with AutoCAD is also beneficial.
  • Deep understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods across various project types.
  • Proven experience leading technical aspects of complex architectural projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of technically proficient architectural projects.
