Remote Aviation Safety Compliance Officer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Remote Aviation Safety Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and safety standards. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety management systems (SMS) across the organization. This includes conducting regular audits and inspections of operational procedures, documentation, and facilities (where applicable, through remote assessment tools) to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues. You will investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. The successful candidate will prepare detailed reports for regulatory bodies and internal management, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. You will stay abreast of evolving aviation regulations and industry best practices, proactively updating policies and procedures accordingly. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation law, safety protocols, and risk management principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with pilots, maintenance crews, management, and regulatory agencies. The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a remote setting is paramount. A Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aviation safety, compliance, or a similar role. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Aviation Safety Officer - CASO) are a significant asset.
