Remote Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team, operating entirely remotely. This is a significant opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to provide comprehensive legal support across various aspects of the business, including corporate law, contracts, compliance, and litigation management. You will play a key role in advising senior management, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring the company's adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of commercial law, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal advice and counsel to the company on a wide range of legal matters.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Managing and overseeing corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance.
- Advising on employment law, intellectual property, and data privacy issues.
- Directing and managing outside counsel in litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on various legal topics.
- Developing and implementing legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Assisting with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
- Staying abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with internal clients and external legal partners.
- Contributing to the overall risk management strategy of the company.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Bar in at least one US state (Florida Bar membership preferred, or ability to gain admission).
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience practicing law, with significant experience in corporate law and commercial contracts.
- Proven experience in advising on regulatory compliance and managing litigation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and standard office software.
- Experience in (specific industry, e.g., technology, finance) is a plus.
