Our client, a rapidly growing technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel with a specialization in Corporate Compliance to join their legal department. This is a fully remote position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical function from anywhere within the United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's compliance programs, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will play a key role in identifying potential compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Key responsibilities include advising senior management and business units on legal and compliance matters, including data privacy, anti-bribery, sanctions, antitrust, and other regulatory requirements. You will be instrumental in drafting, reviewing, and updating corporate policies and procedures. This role involves conducting internal investigations, managing regulatory inquiries, and overseeing compliance training initiatives for employees across the organization. You will also be responsible for staying abreast of evolving legal and regulatory landscapes and advising on their impact on the business. Collaboration with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and internal audit teams will be essential. The ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business solutions is paramount. As this is a remote role, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with virtual collaboration tools are required. You will be a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of compliance throughout the company.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to at least one state bar.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in corporate law, compliance, or a related field, preferably within a technology or fast-paced corporate environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive compliance programs.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, FCPA, OFAC).
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote setting.
- Experience conducting internal investigations and managing regulatory interactions.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
